AMPlify is the choral program of the Atlanta Music Project.  The first El Sistema-inspired choral program in Georgia, AMPlify uses choral singing as a catalyst for social change in the city of Atlanta.

AMP students perform at the Woodruff Arts Center as part of the annual City of Atlanta Culture Club concert.

The AMPlify Spring Concert is taking place on Thursday May 9, 2013 at the Salvation Army Kroc Center at 6:00pm. Please visit our choral concert schedule for details!

Housed in East Atlanta at Ivy Preparatory Academy Kirkwood,  AMPlify serves 50 youth in grades 1-7. Classes take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Class times: 4:15 to 5:45 for grades 1 through 3 and 4:15 to 6:15 for grades 4 through 7.  Attendance to all classes is mandatory.

AMPlify’s goal of increased academic performance is sought through a holistic approach to music education that emphasizes increasing Executive Functioning and other academic-readiness skills.

Being ensemble-based, AMPlify also  fosters community building by promoting collaboration and respect for others between individuals, families and the broader community.

AMPlify students receive instruction in musicianship, sight reading, composition, improvisation, and of course, choir.
