Ethan Godfrey
Voice Teaching Artist
Ethan Godfrey, tenor, is a native of Atlanta, GA. He graduated from Morehouse College in 2019 with a BA in Music with an emphasis in Composition. While at Morehouse, he sang with the Morehouse College Glee Club and the Morehouse College Quartet. He graduated from the University of Arkansas (UofA) with a Master of Music in Vocal Performance in 2021. There he was a frequent soloist for the Inspirational Chorale and played the role of “The Witch” in UofA’s Opera production of Engelbert Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel. Since then, Mr. Godfrey moved back to Atlanta and has since performed with many performing arts institutions.
He’s worked with The Atlanta Opera in their chorus for 2022-23 season as well as a performer in their 96 Hour Opera Competition initiative. He was a Music Assistant for Alliance Theatre during their 2022 season for their original show DARLIN CORY. Lastly, he works with Americolor Opera Alliance, a local opera company in Atlanta, as a frequent performer and soloist.
