Jessica Stinson has established a dynamic career as a violinist, music educator, and chamber musician. Praised for her “remarkably mature musicianship” and “thrilling and spectacular” performances, Jessica is a member of the Atlanta Opera Orchestra and regularly performs with the Atlanta Symphony and Atlanta Ballet orchestras. She recently made her debut at Carnegie Hall with the Gateways Festival Orchestra and has also appeared at the Apollo Theater alongside jazz composer and trumpeter Russell Gunn.

An experienced arts administrator, Jessica has served as the manager of the Emory Youth Symphony Orchestras and the coordinator of The Lovett School’s Applied Lessons Program. Jessica is also a founding member of Mosaic Quartet, an ensemble dedicated to diversity and inclusion in chamber music. She also performs with the Magnolia String Quartet and has appeared with ensembles including Ensemble ATL and Ensemble VIM. As a recitalist, she is passionate about curating programs that highlight the contributions of Black composers to the violin repertoire.

Equally dedicated to education, Jessica has maintained a thriving private teaching studio since 2009. Her students have performed with organizations including the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the Georgia All-State Orchestra. She previously served as violin faculty at Georgia State University and has presented masterclasses and workshops for the American String Teachers Association, the University of South Carolina, the Atlanta Music Project, and Atlanta Public Schools.

Jessica earned a Master of Music degree in Violin Performance from the Rice University Shepherd School of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of South Carolina. She currently resides in East Point, GA with her family.
