THE ATLANTA MUSIC PROJECT ANNOUNCES TWO OPENINGS FOR 2013-2014 AMP INTERNSHIP

Statement of Job:
In alignment with the Atlanta Music Project (AMP) mission, the 2013-2014 AMP Intern will assist senior AMP staff with program implementation, event management, and administrative tasks. By working directly with our senior staff, the AMP Intern will gain hands-on experience and develop key relationships in the field of non-profit management, arts administration, fundraising, and community development.
Opportunities and Tasks will include:
- Post-gift donor management
- Participation in key fundraising meetings and strategy sessions
- Concert and event logistics
- Social media implementation
- Regular feedback from senior AMP staff
- Grant research, proof reading
- Liaising with AMP community partners & families
- Recruitment and registration
- Administrative tasks as needed
Ideal candidate will possess:
- Passion for music as a tool for positive social change
- College degree or be a current undergraduate or graduate student
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Impeccable inter-personal and communication skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit and strong leadership skills
- Professional conduct, attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Reliable phone and car a must
Note: The 2013-2014 AMP Internship will pay a stipend of $2,000. The successful candidate (s) will be available 5 hours per week from August 2013 through June 2014. This position requires a car and background check.
