AMP Afterschool Partnerships
In partnership with the City of Atlanta Department of Parks and Recreation, the AMP Afterschool Orchestra program provides instruction in band and orchestra instruments. All music classes take place within the after-school programs of the Department of Parks and Recreation. No musical experience necessary. No auditions. Spots are filled on a first-come first-serve basis.

South Bend Center for Arts Culture
1955 Compton Dr SE Atlanta, GA 30315
Grades: 1 to 8 (most appropriate for grades 3 & up)
Instruments: flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, french horn
Class Times: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Due to the intensity of this program schedule, students progress rapidly on their instrument. In order to maintain the optimal program experience for all students and teaching artists, it is mandatory to attend all four days of classes each week. Looking for a similar, but less intensive program for beginners? Check out the AMP Preparatory School.
AMP Provides: instruments, teaching artists, classs materials, performance opportunities.
City of Atlanta Provides: transportation from local schools, snack, homework assistance, warm dinner.
Cost: students pay a weekly fee (on a sliding scale) to the City of Atlanta for afterschool services. AMP provides full-tuition scholarship to all students for the musical component.
