AMP Youth Orchestra & Choir at Clayton State University's Hope for the Planet Earth Day Concert

The Atlanta Music Project Senior Youth Orchestra and Choir performed alongside Clayton State's orchestra and choir during their Earth Day Celebrations.

First Open House at the AMP Center for Performance & Education

In August AMP was able to open its doors for community members to learn more about programming offered. In addition to free food and door prizes, attendees enjoyed performances by AMP students and faculty, panel discussions with AMP parents, and an instrument petting zoo.

AMP Youth Orchestra Performance at ArtsATL's Inaugural UnGala at National Center for Civil & Human Rights

The Atlanta Music Project Senior Youth Orchestra performed during this year's ArtsATL inaugural UnGala in celebration of Atlanta’s arts community.

AMP Youth Orchestra Performance at St. Jude's Evening of Hope Gala at Mercedes Benz Stadium

The ninth annual St. Jude Evening of Hope gala was held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and raised more than $700,000. Members of the AMP Senior Youth Orchestra performed during the cocktail hour of the gala.

AMP Prep Choir Performance at Music in the Park

The AMP Preparatory Choir had their first run-out performance during the 12th annual Music in the Park. The special performance was held in the heart of the West End community on one of those iconic Atlanta front porches.

BlackRock Atlanta hosts AMP for Practice Makes Professional Session

Organized by Racheal Woods, member of AMP's board of directors and a BlackRock project manager, BlackRock opened the doors of their Atlanta ihub office for AMP's young musicians for an afternoon of music and career mentorship.

AMP Youth Choir Performs in Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker

Members of the AMP Youth Choirs were featured in four performances of the Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker at the Cobb Energy Center. Along with their participation in the show, they greeted showgoers in the lobby for festive carolling.

AMP Wins Grand Prize & Gold Standard at Southern Star Music Festival

AMP’s Senior Youth Choir and Orchestra both competed in the Southern Star Music Festival. This was the first time AMP ensembles have participated in a competition. The AMP Senior Youth Choir was crowned Grand Champion, and awarded the Gold Standard. The AMP Senior Youth Orchestra were awarded the Silver Standard.

AMP Senior Youth Choir Performance at Georgia ACDA Fall Conference

AMP's Senior Youth Choir, under the direction of B.E. Boykin, travelled to Berry College to perform a full concert at the prestigious Georgia ACDA Fall Conference. The Georgia Choral Directors Association is a not-for-profit professional organization for choral directors in the state of Georgia.

AMP Summer Series Artistic Residency with Edward Parks, GRAMMY Award-Winning Operatic Baritone

Mr. Parks performed on the Opening Night of this year's AMP Summer Series alongside AMP’s faculty and musicians. He also conducted a voice masterclass, and a Q&A with our summer students.

AMP Class of 2022 Graduation with Keynote Speaker Kathy Waller

Saying "see ya later" to AMP's Class of 2022 was a momentous occasion, with many of the graduates having been with AMP since our founding in 2010. The ceremony included special performances from graduates, heartwarming video messages and nostalgic slideshows. We were honored to have Kathy Waller as our keynote speaker. Ms. Waller was the long-time CFO of the Coca-Cola Company and is currently the Executive Director at the Atlanta Committee for Progress.

AMP Selected as Feature Organization for Monica Pearson's Holiday Special on Peachtree TV

On Christmas Day AMP had the amazing honor of being featured in a one-hour special on Peachtree TV. Legendary news anchor Monica Pearson hosted a special holiday version of her show "Monica Pearson One on One," which featured performances by AMP’s music ensembles and interviews with AMP's co-founders Aisha Moody and Dantes Rameau. If you missed it, no worries! Tune in on New Year’s Eve at 10pm EST on Peachtree TV for the re-airing. The segment will also be available online in the new year.
