There’s a new member of the AMP Team – and we love it!
It is no secret that the Atlanta Music Project loves it’s vehicle of choice, the AMP van. Given as a donation from Meineke/MAACO, the van has served the organization well for the past 10 months, shuttling students to and from rehearsals and concerts. Since it has become such an integral part of our lives here at AMP, we found it fitting that it receive an official AMP name.
Being the community organization that we are, we of course opened it up to the public for support – and support they did give! After receiving dozens of name submissions though a fun social media contest, followed up by an intense voting process –a winning name was determined – “Noterider”!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the contest, whether you submitted a name or voted on submissions. Special congratulations goes to Ms. Georgette Jackson of Savannah, Georgia for submitting the winning name!
The Noterider can be spotted around town any day of the week, carrying AMP’s most precious cargo inside – our young artists. Give a wave when you see it!
