The Atlanta Music Project is proud to celebrate 14 exceptional AMP Academy students who have successfully auditioned and earned invitations to perform in the 2026 Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) ensembles, one of the highest honors for student musicians in Georgia.
Their selection is a powerful reflection of the dedication, discipline, and artistry these young musicians bring to their craft each day. It also represents the impact AMP’s community of teaching artists, families, and supporters who make their musical journeys possible.
Open to students across the state, GMEA auditions are highly competitive. Each year, more than 20,000 students participate in the rigorous audition process, yet fewer than 15% are ultimately selected for the ensembles. To earn a place in an All-State or District Honor ensemble, students must successfully pass two demanding live auditions, demonstrating exceptional musical skill and preparation.
At the heart of this achievement is the AMP Academy, the Atlanta Music Project’s advanced private lesson program for our most dedicated and promising students. Through weekly one-on-one instruction, solo recitals, masterclass opportunities, and adjudicated performance exams, AMP Academy students receive the intensive training and mentorship that prepares them to reach their highest potential.
These accomplishments reflect more than individual success. They highlight what is possible when talented young musicians are given access to high-quality instruction, mentorship, and opportunity. We are incredibly proud of these students and grateful to the supporters who help make their achievements possible.
