College & Career

Our College and Career Program equips our students for success beyond AMP.

Through professional development, one-on-one college advising, and financial support, AMP ensures that our students and alumni continue to excel and pursue their goals – whether that is in the field of music or otherwise. AMP boasts 100% high school graduation rates with the overwhelming majority of our alumni going on to attend college. AMP Alumni are musicians, entrepreneurs, future doctors, lawyers, and engineers and always a part of the AMP Family.

AMP College and Career Services offered:

The AmP-ChesTnut family Foundation college scholarship fund

  • AMP-Chestnut College Scholarship Fund
    Assists with tuition fees, room & board, and supplies for AMP Alumni attending 4-year, 2-year, or vocational programs

  • AMP-Chestnut Instrument Fund
    Assists with an instrument purchase for music majors or minors pursuing degrees in Music Performance

  • AMP-Chestnut Family Emergency Fund
    Assists with one-time expenses for emergency scenarios for AMP Alumni and current college students

college & Career prep Programs

  • 1-1 Advising
    As early as middle school, AMP students have access to individualized college and career counseling that caters to their unique interests. Guidance through the college exploration and application process, scholarship applications, and career support.

  • Music Career Advising
    For AMP students pursuing careers in music, performance milestone tracking, repertoire development, and application/audition support to summer music festivals and college/conservatory music programs

  • AMP to Campus
    AMP-sponsored college tours and trips, as well as campus visits to the AMP Center

  • Practice Makes Professional Series
    AMP Students & Alum engage in professional mentorship and performance opportunities

  • Music School College Fair
    Featuring the top music programs across the country, AMP hosts a free, annual college fair that is open to AMP students and its surrounding community
